Surgical Options
VNUS Closure® is the technique most commonly indicated for the treatment
of significant varicose veins. It is a minimally invasive outpatient
procedure that has largely replaced conventional surgery (vein stripping).
Most patients find it very well tolerated and are able to return to normal
activities within 24 - 48 hours.
Trivex® Phlebectomy is a patented, clinically tested surgical technique
for the removal of large varicose veins. It allows the surgeon to remove
large veins using a small powered surgical device while viewing the vein
using a trans-illuminated light. It allows the use of a minimal number
of small incisions and short operative times, which may result in an
easier recovery and good cosmetic result. It is often used in conjunction
with VNUS Closure®.
