Dr. Stephen Torpy
Stephen D. Torpy MD FACS is an Omaha native. He received his medical degree from University of Nebraska Medical College Magna Cum Laude in 1974. He is a member of the medical honor society Alpha Omega Alpha. He completed his surgical training at the Medical College of Wisconsin including training at the Radcliffe Infirmary in Oxford, England. Upon completion of his residency, he returned to Omaha in 1979 and has been in the practice of general and vascular surgery since then. Over the past three years his practice has evolved to an exclusive practice treating only vein problems.

He is board certified by the American College of Surgeons and recently earned board certification in the specialty of phlebology (vein care) by the American Board of Phlebology. He is a member of the American College of Phlebology (ACP), an organization dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of venous problems and is the only physician in Nebraska and Iowa to be board certified by the ACP. Dr. Torpy is also board certified as a Registered Physician in Vascular Interpretation by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography and specializes in the diagnosis of venous disease through ultrasound testing.

Jacqueline Torpy, RN BSN
Jackie is a registered nurse with an advanced degree. She has over 25 years of clinical nursing experience. She shares her husband's interest and dedication to the treatment of varicose vein problems. She is a member of the American College of Phlebology and attends regular continuing education courses related to all aspects of varicose vein diagnosis and treatment. Jackie has undergone specialized training in the United Kingdom by the inventor of the Veinwave™ technology. She directs the Veinwave™ practice at our office.

Jill Selzle, PA-C, MPAS
Jill has joined our practice recently and adds several dimensions. She comes from UNMC where she was on the cardiovascular team. She is trained in surgical techniques and ultrasound diagnostics. She will be performing diagnostic and treatment procedures that include ultrasound evaluation, phlebectomies, injection sclerotherapy, and Veinwave™ treatments. We welcome Jill as a key member of our practice.

Ric Wyrens, RRT, RVT
Ric has been with us from the start three years ago and brings over 17 years of specialized vascular ultrasound experience. Prior to joining the practice, he coordinated the start-up and managed the mobile vascular service for a hospital in Lincoln. As an ultrasound vascular technician, he performs all initial and follow-up ultrasounds for legs. We are pleased to have Ric and his many years of specialized experience as part of our team.
